Eric Church has once again ascended to the top of the country music scene with his latest single, “Hands of Time.” This after the iconic singer reclaimed the No. 1 spot on the UK Country Radio Airplay Chart. Behind the country legend is Ella Langley, who has been steady at No.2 with her hit single “weren’t for the wind” which continues to resonate in the US as much as in the UK.
“Hands of Time,” first released on March 20, 2025, is the lead single from Church’s eighth studio album, “Evangeline vs. the Machine.” The album was officially released on May 2, after he had announced a hiatus from making any new content.
The track, co-written with Scooter Carusoe and produced by Jay Joyce, delves into themes of nostalgia and the passage of time, resonating deeply with listeners who enjoy the genre. Its blend of country, Southern rock, and blues, coupled with gospel-infused backing vocals and evocative lyrics, has struck a chord with fans.
