London group Electron return with new single ‘Echoes Of A Dying World’.
The band blend the crushing weight of metal with post-hardcore complexity, granting them their own sound. A ferocious live act, Electron shared their debut album ‘Defiance’ in 2023, a record that offered “a true reflection of who we are, both as a band and as individuals”.
On its release, Electron commented: “This is only the beginning of our journey, and we are excited to see where it takes us…”
Last year’s five-track ‘Hollow’ EP continued their journey, an uncompromising glimpse into their creativity.
New single ‘Echoes Of A Dying World’ is an incisive return, trimming their ideas down into a succinct three-minute statement. There’s a slight glimpse of pop immediacy in the way Electron approach the song, backed by the gravitational force metal can exert.
Says frontman Jason Payne: “‘Echoes of a Dying World’ is a sonic journey through destruction and
rebirth, reflecting themes of loss, resilience, and the struggle for identity. It’s a song that demands to
be felt as much as it is heard.”
Rising and falling in undulating waves of sound, ‘Echoes Of A Dying World’ might yet prove to be Electron’s most incisive statement.
