DAYTIMERS Announce New ‘Alterations’ Album – clashmusic.com

DAYTIMERS will release their debut album ‘Alterations’ later this year.
The collective was founded in 2020, a group of DJs, producers, and creatives from the South Asian diaspora, aiming to pick up on the energy and ethos of the famed day-time parties of the 90s.
Quickly gaining velocity, DAYTIMERS – as a concept, and as a platform – has grown and grown, permeating culture in a broad sense.
Hosting a month-long Friday residency at Jazz Café in London, the British collective have now confirmed plans for a full length album.
‘Alterations’ will be released this year, 10 tracks that connect new producers with samples familiar to them from their youth. A joint construction with Sony Music India and Relentless Records, it finds the studio team rifling through the vaults.
Provhat Rahman, DAYTIMERS founder says, “Through the restitching of iconic music from the South Asian catalogue, Alterations is a patchworking of club cultures and subcultures through the lens of its diaspora. It celebrates cultural roots merging with our experience of the club. Having these club tracks platformed like this is so exciting to see!”

The first release comes from Baalti – the NYC rooted, India-born producer/DJ duo – who share ‘Tere Bina’.
