Columbus-founded band Beartooth to step in to rock Sonic Temple's main stage on May 11 – The Columbus Dispatch

Hometown heroes are stepping in to save the day at Sonic Temple Music and Arts Fest.
Rock band Alice in Chains dropped out just 48 hours before their main stage Sunday Sonic Temple performance on the X Stage due to an „immediate“ need to care for drummer Sean Kinney’s health.
As concern grew on social media for whether the performance time would be filled, the festival announced on May 10 that Columbus‘ own rock legends, Beartooth, answered the call to rock on the Temple Stage at 6:30 p.m. on festival Sunday.
„Stoked to add these hometown heroes to tomorrow’s main stage lineup – a nearly impossible feat in 48 hours, but this is what the rock community is all about,“ the festival said on social media with the May 10 announcement.
This is the band’s first show back in Columbus since it played at the Schottenstein Center in January, and it directly follows a May 10 performance in Nashville at Bridgestone Arena.
