There’s a distinct Australian flavour at this year’s Austin City Limits (ACL).
The annual music festival takes place at Zilker Park in Austin, Texas, on two consecutive three-day weekends. Produced by the Austin-based company C3 Presents, which produces Lollapalooza in Chicago, the festival books rock, pop, hip-hop, electronic, indie, country, and folk acts annually. This year’s festival will take place from 3-5 October and 10-12 October.
This year’s Austin City Limits is headlined by some of the biggest names in music: pop superstar Sabrina Carpenter, indie troubadour Hozier, hip-hop star Doja Cat, country sensation Luke Combs, indie rockers The Strokes, EDM trailblazer John Summit, and rap’s latest big name, Doechii. But the Australian names are just as exciting and diverse as the headliners.
Walking On A Dream hitmakers Empire Of The Sun will perform at this year’s ACL, sharing the stage with reggae rock act Ocean Alley, dance party outfit Confidence Man, indie rockers Spacey Jane, and punk rockers Teen Jesus And The Jean Teasers (appearing exclusively on weekend two).
You can check out the line-up below.
Teen Jesus And The Jean Teasers quipped, “Ouch I just tore my ACL 🤠 See you in October, Texas @aclfestival ❤️” while Ocean Alley added, “We’re playing @aclfestival in Austin, TX this year!!!! Can’t wait. See you there!!! 💛”. Spacey Jane commented on Ocean Alley’s post, “we’re gonna sneak into your green room and eat all of your food while you’re on stage. you’ve been warned 🫶.”

Ocean Alley is touring North America this year—their latest single, Left Of The Dealer, was released in February. Spacey Jane will release their forthcoming album, If That Makes Sense, this Friday (9 May), ahead of a rapidly selling-out Australian tour and dates in the US, UK, and Europe.
Meanwhile, Empire Of The Sun and Confidence Man released new albums last year – Ask That God and 3AM (LA LA LA), respectively – as Teen Jesus And The Jean Teasers prepare for a massive 2025.
Last month, Teen Jesus And The Jean Teasers dropped the single BALCONY, which followed their 2023 debut album, I Love You. The Aussie punks will open for Pearl Jam in the US this month.
The band opened for Pearl Jam on their recent Australian stadium tour. Eddie Vedder came on stage during Teen Jesus’ set on the final show of the tour to congratulate them on winning an ARIA Award and said to the audience, “For all the people who have yet to see them perform and this is your first time, we are very honoured that you will say, ‘I saw them on the same stage as Pearl Jam.’”
