André 3000 fans think he is teasing a new album with ‘missing notebook’ posters – NME

The former OutKast star has previously teased that new music would be coming in 2025 „for sure“
André 3000 has sparked rumours of a possible new album by posting mysterious images of posters relating to a missing notebook.
The former OutKast star, real name André Benjamin, released his debut solo album ‘New Blue Sun’ in November 2023 and it surprised many fans by consisting of instrumental flute tracks rather than the funk and jazz-influenced rap of his previous output.
He has teased the likelihood of new music in 2025, telling Amazon Music last November that he sees it happening “for sure”, although no formal announcements have been made.
This week, however, fans of the artist jumped on a series of Instagram posts that they believed might have been part of an enigmatic promotional campaign by André.
The posts showed missing posters claiming that the rapper had lost a blue notebook that had “black sketches and notes inside”. They add it had been “last seen in Amsterdam Noord on March 29” and linked to a website titled ‘A Myriad Of Pyramids’ where fans can download the poster.

See a range of speculative posts from André 3000 fans below who have jumped to conclusions that it all points towards a possible new LP.
Andre 3000 has started a rollout for an album which is probably titled “A Myriad Of Pyramids” which might be a rap album.

Despite the speculation, Stereogum report that André 3000’s representatives ensured them that the posts do in fact refer to a missing notebook. In the event that anybody finds the notebook, members of the public are encouraged to email missing@amyriadofpyramids.com.
Whatever the posts signify, it appears unlikely that OutKast will be releasing anything together any time soon. In December, André said the duo were “further away” from new music that “we have ever been”.
“I’ll say maybe 10, 15 years ago, in my mind, I thought an OutKast album would happen,” he explained. “I don’t know the future, but I can say that we’re further away from it than we’ve ever been.”
“[OutKast] was a great time in life, and our chemistry was at a certain place that was undeniable,” he said, brushing against the notion that “something has to last forever”.
“It probably should not last forever,” he added. “It’s not like a product. In the end, we did give a product, but what made that product was a certain time in both of our lives.”
In 2023, Benjamin said that he thought he’d “aged out” of rap, telling GQ: “Sometimes it feels inauthentic for me to rap because I don’t have anything to talk about in that way. I’m 48 years old. And not to say that age is a thing that dictates what you rap about, but in a way it does.
“And things that happen in my life, like, what are you talking about? ‘I got to go get a colonoscopy’. What are you rapping about? ‘My eyesight is going bad’. You can find cool ways to say it, but….”
