Portland hyphenate Aminé surges into fresh ground with new single ‘Familiar’.
A rapper, songwriter, and producer, Aminé is a true triple-threat, imbuing his work with a soulful sense of depth. KAYTRAMINÉ – his joint project with KAYTRANADA – saw the American artist explore his disco-soul foundations, while last year witnessed the launch of his hometown festival The Best Day Ever.
A series of one-off drops and remixes have kept him occupied, with Aminé now laying out plans for his eagerly-awaited new album ’13 Months Of Sunshine’.
Set to land on May 16th via 10k Projects, Aminé grapples with spring energy on new song ‘Familiar’.
Bursting with ideas, he’s able to re-frame contemporary soul rivulets, forging something fresh and distinctive in the process.

“You love somebody while knowing that it’s not the right thing to do, but it’s still hard to let go. I let a little bit of my toxic side onto the track, too, but I think that honesty is important.”
