DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) – A Grand Rapids man is reeling in all the prizes just two years removed from brain surgery.
22-year-old Easton Fothergill was crowned Bassmaster Classic World Champion on Sunday for landing a three-day total of 76 pounds and 15 ounces which is good enough for all-time total Classic winning weight.
As the winner of what many consider to be the Super Bowl of fishing, Fothergill will be bringing home a massive trophy and a pretty prize pool of $300,000.
Last year we caught up with Fothergill to learn about his rise to the top of the fishing ranks, click the link below for the full story.
