The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has warned Pakistan with an ultimatum of 24 hours only to exchange prisoners with hostages held by BLA in a press release. The rebel group has more than 200 hours serving enemy personnel, including intelligence agents, police and para-military forces under hostage. As the release claims the individuals have been directly involved in state terrorism, enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings and the looting of national resources on Baloch land.
Earlier BLA had given a 48-hour ultimatum to Pakistan’s government for prisoners exchange with hostages. As per the release, the stubbornness, indifference and continuous delaying tactics by Pakistan’s government prove their non-seriousness about the lives of their own military personnel. The release said that a day has passed, and the occupying state now has only 24 hours remaining to act.
The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) warns that if Pakistan does not make tangible progress on the prisoner exchange within the given ultimatum, all hostages will be presented before the Baloch National Court. The hostages will face charges of state atrocities, colonial occupation, genocide, exploitation, and involvement in war crimes committed in Balochistan.
The trial will be conducted swiftly, fairly, and transparently. If found guilty, the accused will be punished according to Baloch national laws. The BLA asserts that any attempt by Pakistan and its military institutions to control the situation through delaying tactics or false propaganda will be met with firm action. The BLA is fully capable and determined to implement every announcement it makes.
The BLA emphasises that the Pakistani army has shown no regard for the lives of its personnel and has made no serious attempt to negotiate. If this behaviour continues, five hostages will face punishment every hour after the expiration of the ultimatum, in accordance with the decision of the Baloch National Court.
This is the final opportunity for the enemy to abandon propaganda, recognize the ground realities, and take practical steps toward the prisoner exchange. The BLA urges Pakistan to confront the truth, rather than fabricate artificial narratives. If this opportunity is ignored, the decisions of the Baloch National Resistance will be irreversible, and each passing moment will bring more severe consequences for the enemy.
