Two metalheads tied the knot at a Cannibal Corpse show earlier this week. The bride, Erica, and groom, Chris, said their vows in the circle pit while fans were moshing around them and the death metal band was performing a particularly gnarly song, "Unleashing the Bloodthirsty."
Erica shared the news on Facebook. "Well we did it! Last night during the @cannibalcorpseofficial show in Pittsburgh we said our ‚I dos‘ in the mosh pit!" she wrote alongside photos and videos of the unconventional wedding. "A huge thank you to everyone knowingly and unknowingly helping to make this happen! There is no community more united than the metal community!! The amount of support and love was amazing!"
According to Loudwire, the wedding officiant’s speech acknowledged Cannibal Corpse’s song “about blood, wretched souls and eating the heart" and referred to Erica and Chris as “two dark beautiful hearts”.
The wedding vows also focused around metal and horror culture, reading: “Do you [name] take [partner’s name] to be your partner in metal, horror, trust honor and love? And do [you] promise to stick through the thick and thin, and endure any s****y cinematic remakes that Blumhouse may create as long as you both shall live and mosh?”
