Afrobeats singer Iyanya has clarified his relationship with Wizkid and Davido, stating that he’s a professional who plays various artists’ music.
On X, Iyanya said he plays Wizkid’s “Made in Lagos” and “Morayo”, emphasising that it’s his job to stay updated on new sounds and trends in the music industry.
Iyanya also mentioned that he’s played songs by other artists like Fola, Fireboy (“Adedamola” album) and Joeboy (“Viva Lavida” album).
He denied having any beef with other artists, citing a recent encounter with Burna Boy at a club where they “vibed well”.

He wrote on X: “I don’t have an issue with any artiste. I played Wizkid’s Made in Lagos and Morayo, the same way I play every other artiste songs. Most artiste will not say this, artiste are the first to listen to other artiste projects when they drop. Na our work to know what’s happening in the game in terms of sound etc. I was playing Fola’s songs before he had a big song
