New electronic music-focused conference to launch in Chicago – Mixmag

The Chicago Electronic Music Conference (CEMC) will include "up close" performances and panel discussions featuring "local legends"
A new electronic music conference will take place in Chicago this April to „support, enable, connect and inspire“ professionals in the electronic music industry and highlight the city’s underground music and culture.

According to the event’s website, the Chicago Electronic Music Conference (CEMC) will take place on Saturday, April 26, and will feature „up-close“ performances, panel discussions featuring „local legends and industry experts“, interactive lessons and workshops and giveaways of music, tickets and merch.
Music fans and creators are welcome at the conference. Further line-up details are yet to be announced, but more updates are set to arrive in the months.
Described by its organisers as „one-of-a-kind“, the event will take place at Bridgeport’s Ramova Theatre, a 1,800-capacity live music and community venue.

The conference has been put together by Chicago’s community of musicians and promoters, headed up by founders John Rynecki, Nikhil Gidwani and Matthew Pest, who started CEMC when they realised that „Chicago electronic music events were becoming less community-driven“, according to the CEMC site.
While the event is currently sold out, more tickets should be available soon. You can buy tickets for CEMC here, and find out more about the conference on its Instagram page.
