The singers will be covering Simon and Garfunkel to Mozart
A PRESTIGIOUS choir will be covering ancient and modern music at its annual spring concert.
Newquay Singers will be taking to the stage at St Michael's Church on Saturday, April 26 at 7pm.
The choir will be covering Simon and Garfunkel’s Scarborough Fair, Mozart's Laudate Dominum, Phantom of the Opera, Faure's classic Cantique de Jean Racine, folk songs from all five UK regions, and an assortment of other songs with a “touch of humour thrown in.”
Patron secretary Anthony Weight said: "The choir has seen a big increase in membership over the past two years under its new director Tony Harries, and there will be a variety of music: ancient and modern, with close harmony singing.”
Tickets £6 on the door, under 16's free.
