The postponement comes less than two months before the music festival was set to take place.

Fyre Festival 2 isn’t going as planned (for the second time).
The second coming of the ill-fated music festival has reportedly been postponed by organizers. “The event has been postponed and a new date will be announced. We have issued you a refund. Once the new date is announced, at that time, you can repurchase if it works for your schedule,” read a message sent to ticket holders, ABC News reported.
The festival was initially set to take place from May 30 to June 2, 2025, with tickets ranging from $1,400 to $25,000, as well as a $1 million package.

Days after tickets went on sale in February, the festival — allegedly happening on Isla Mujeres, an island off the coast of Mexico — was already met with obstacles. The local tourism board claimed they “have no knowledge of this event,” while festival founder Billy McFarland said he and his partners “have remained in communication with local and state government to ensure full compliance and a successful event that benefits the local economy.”
Edgar Gasca, with the tourism directorate of Isla Mujeres, told The Guardian last month that the “event does not exist,” and that permits have reportedly not been requested for the festival. McFarland quickly took to his Instagram to dispute the claims, saying his “incredible partners leading the festival” are handling “all the logistics, productions and operations. This includes an incredible production team in Mexico who does not f around. There is no way they would ever take on a fake festival.”
The announcement of Fyre Festival 2 came eight years after the original festival ended in a disaster, leaving attendees stranded in the Bahamas and McFarland pleading guilty to fraud.
A new date for Fyre Festival 2 has yet to be announced.
