Zimbabweans will be able to hear works performed by the Russian Folk Instruments Orchestra and jazz music by Soviet composers
Zimbabweans will be able to listen to Russian folk music on a popular national radio station. TV BRICS together with its African partner Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation, is launching a series of unique musical pieces on Classic 263 radio (92.8 FM, Harare), provided by the Orpheus Russian State TV and Radio Music Centre.
„Russia and Zimbabwe have rich folk music traditions that reflect their history, customs and values, that transcend cultural boundaries. Zimbabwean listeners are inquisitive and they want to hear more for them to get the ‚feel‘ of the Russian Music. It’s important to promote cultural exchange, for artistic diversity, global connections and education. Moreover Zimbabwean Musicians may experiment with new sounds leading to innovation and dynamism of new sounds,“ said producer and host of Classic 263 Radio Tafadzwa Bvocheko.
The musical collection that Russia will present in Zimbabwe through TV BRICS is made up of folk pieces performed by the Nikolay Nekrasov Academic Orchestra of Russian Folk Instruments, as well as jazz compositions by Soviet composers Aleksander Varlamov, Nikolay Kapustin, Leonid Polovinkin, and Aleksander Tsfasman performed by the Orpheus Radio Symphony Orchestra and Big Jazz Orchestra by Peter Vostokov.

The „Russian Music Night“ series will be broadcast in Zimbabwe on Tuesdays from 21:30 to 22:00. In 2024, TV BRICS organised a broadcast of Russian classical music from the first half of the 20th century on Classic 263 Radio.

TV BRICS has been successfully cooperating with the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation for several years: the ZBC TV channel, the ZBC News information portal and Classic 263 radio are involved in the information exchange.
In 2023, TV BRICS organised the broadcasting of Orpheus music programmes on Toda Palavra and Radio Cultura Brasil radio stations in Brazil.
