Cut to the present times, music videos no longer have the old vibes and often have a monotonous tone. Most of them seem to depend on tired repetitive storylines involving heartbreak, betrayal, and some exaggerated glow-up redemption.
It almost feels like storytelling has taken a backseat to showcase value glamour and formulaic drama. If Tony Kakkar wasn’t enough, almost every other artist seems to have caught the same track with cringe worthy videos.

The result? A painfully predictable narrative where someone betrays, cheats, and rejects their partner, and the latter makes a comeback with savage redemption.
Music videos no longer explore meaningful and nuanced facets of life. It’s high time that the Hindi music video makers take cues from regional ones like Aasa Kooda by Sai Abhyankkar or the ones released by Coke Studio.
