Claudia Robin Gunn writes songs for children that parents love too – including rather good country songs.
Rainbows In My Food is the lead single for Claudia’s new EP Helpful, which is out on Friday May 30th. It’s about learning colours with yummy veggies and fruits in a fun, foot-stomping tune – it’s a positive country pop hit, for singing, dancing, and discovering the rainbow magic of healthy eating.

The message is perfect for ages 3 to 7; Claudia aims to encourage little ones to find the “rainbows” hiding in their fruits and veggies, from red apples to purple berries and everything in between.
The tune itself is timeless country that anyone could enjoy.
Claudia says, “I’ve had this song in my head for a few years now, from my days getting my groove on making bento boxes for school lunches for my kids, but the feeling and the nostalgia of the message dates right back some 40+ years ago, following my mum around our family veggie garden and grazing off the peas, beans, tomatoes and apples she has always grown!
“One of the first gigs i ever did in public was at the Waiuku Cozzie Club, singing a country tune by Dolly Parton, so I feel like this song sees me turning a full circle right back to day dot of my music career!”
Claudia Robin Gunn’s new song Rainbows In My Food is out now on all streaming platforms:
The video for Rainbows In My Food will be out this Saturday May 17th.
